A: Get to know your audience. Find out how they view money and what they believe it to be. Encourage a discussion about being a spender or saver and get the family involved to compare notes.
Q: I do not know where to go for supplemental materials?
A: Youtube, banking institutions, etc., provide valuable resources that can assist with lesson activities.
Q: My students seem disinterested in this topic, how do I motivate them?
A: Show them how to grow money, how to respect it and not fear it. Provide activities that are fun and get them involved. If you are excited to teach the subject they will often get excited and motivated to learn. Make it meaningful to them.
Q: Many of my students do not understand English proficiently, do you provide materials in other languages?
A: There is an online Spanish course on this system and the printed books in Spanish will be published in the near future.
